Died on February 28th 2018. Zelek was born in 1935. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw under Henryk Tomaszewski in 1961. In 1967, he received Tadeusz Trepkowskis prestigious WAG Award and from the 1970s he worked as his former tutor Hernyk Tomaszewskis
